ARPS Panel
In March 2011, I was fortunate to gain my Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) with a panel of images in the Natural History category. This gallery presents my 15 images along with the 'Hanging Plan' showing how they should be displayed.
As part of the ARPS assessment you are required to provide a 'Statement of Intent' to set the panel in context:
"Lying off the Gulf Coast of Florida, Sanibel Island is home to many species of bird, in habitats ranging from the open waters and mangroves of the ‘Ding’ Darling National Wildlife Refuge, to the sandy coastal beaches.
In presenting these images, my intent is to portray a ‘snapshot’ of typical bird-life on Sanibel during the months of November and December. Wherever possible I have tried to capture birds in action, going about their daily lives. All birds photographed were wild and free."
